Parade to begin at 8:30 a.m.

The 33rd Madison Street Festival Parade will kick off at 8:30 am on October 1st. An exciting new twist to the parade is that it will begin at Church Street and make its way in to downtown Madison.

The parade will cross the railroad tracks, go down Main Street, turn onto Sullivan Street, cross the tracks with some participants heading down Front Street.

For best viewing we recommend standing on Church Street and Main Street. Church Street has beautiful shade on a sunny morning.

The parades Grand Marshalls are the Trulock family -Madison’s Family of the Year.

Local celebrity- Christy Jordan, the author of Southern Family Cookbook will be riding with her children in this years parade.

The Madison Belles will make their appearance again, they bring a look at old Madison, and a 9ft inflatable astronaut will amaze you as Madison moves to the next generation!

The Bob Jones Band always a crowd favorite will be there to delight old and young with their big sound! The Bob Jones Band will be representing Madison, in Washington D.C. the weekend of October 8th! Go Patriots!!!!

Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Roller Derby, The Madison Hospital Mobile Unit, floats, dancers, Cool Cars, Miss Junior Alabama, and the Young Marines are just a sample of what makes this parade have that home town feeling.

If any other group just realized it is time for the parade and would like to enter the, please contact the parade committee before September 29th.
