Home Depot robbed, security personal stabbed

A Home Depot Loss Prevention Officer (their form of in house security) was stabbed Saturday afternoon as he confronted a man for trying to steal multiple items form the store.

Around 3:40 pm Saturday a man was witnessed trying to steal items from the store, witnesses said that a in-store security officer witnessed the man and confronted him. Witnesses say a male offender attempted to take several items from the store.  The store’s loss prevention officer witnessed the offender taking the items and confronted the man.  Witnesses say the suspect then stabbed the loss prevention officer in the arm before fleeing on foot. The man stabbed was treated at the scene and will be ok. Huntsville police are still looking for the suspect
