Shirley H. Sampson; Aug. 13, 2012

Shirley Houk Sampson, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012.

Mrs. Sampson was born on May 12, 1936. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Sampson is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Sampson; her parents, Franklin and Zelma Houk; and her sister, Gail Houk.

Mrs. Sampson is survived by her children, Kay Sampson, and Lisa Anderson and husband Pat; her brother, Franklin Houk, Jr.; her grandchildren, Joshua Anderson, Leah Dobbs, Matthew Anderson, and Kelsey Anderson; and her nieces, Vicki Turner, Melody Murphy, and Erin Juricak.

Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Ray Wooten officiating. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery. The family received friends that day from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
