Celebrate Madison returns to Toyota Field tomorrow, Oct. 29
MADISON — The Madison Chamber of Commerce invites the community to the fifth annual Celebrate Madison tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 29, at Toyota Field. Presented by Meta, this free event begins when gates open at 6PM and concludes with a fireworks show at 7:30PM, sponsored by Huntsville Utilities.
This year’s theme, “Madison Celebrates Redstone,” honors Team Redstone’s 85 years in the community and recognizes its contributions to Madison’s growth and the greater region.
Guests can explore the Madison Chamber business community at the vendor showcase on the Trash Pandas concourse, sample food from participating chamber restaurants and collect candy at vendor booths. The first 500 guests can enjoy a free hot dog and soda while supplies last.
The evening’s program includes a special tribute to Team Redstone, performances by the Journey, Liberty and Discovery Middle School choirs and a performance by The Dance Company. Madison City Schools will share updates in a video presentation, followed by a check presentation to the Supporting Our Students Fund. The funds come from proceeds raised at the Madison Chamber’s Back-to-School Breakfast.
The program will also recognize the Military Family of the Year. Community members nominated families who live within Madison city limits and have made a difference in the community in addition to their service to the nation. A committee with representatives from the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC), the AUSA Redstone-Huntsville Chapter and the Semper Fi Community Task Force reviewed the nominations and selected the honoree.
“Celebrate Madison brings our community together to recognize the people and organizations that help make Madison a special place to live, work and grow,” said Michelle Epling, IOM, President of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. “As Team Redstone marks 85 years in our community, we’re proud to celebrate its lasting contributions and invite everyone to join us for an evening of local pride, performances and family fun.”
Last year, Celebrate Madison welcomed a record attendance of more than 850 people. The chamber hopes to welcome an even larger crowd this year and has expanded the vendor showcase.
