Angela Stewart Johnston; Jan. 26, 2013

Angela Stewart Johnston of Madison passed away Saturday, Jan. 26 at her residence. She was 47.

A native of Merritt Island, Fla. and a resident of Madison County since 1989, Angela was a member of Madison Bible Church and active in Moms in Prayer International. A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering. Angela enjoyed her career at NASA with the Marshall Space Flight Center in Missions Operations as an astronaut trainer and crew interface coordinator. She enjoyed her travels around the world, including Bejing, Rome, Paris, Florence, Hong Kong, Japan and Costa Rica.

Survivors include her husband, Nick Johnston; one daughter, Hayle Johnston; two sons, Seth Johnston and Elijah Johnston; two sisters, Candice and Larry Jerome and Gabrielle and Kevin Ash; and her parents, Jerry and Janis Stewart.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 2, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. with Pastor Bill Young officiating.

Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Moms In Prayer International – http://www.momsintouch.org.
