Cecil Allen Robinson; April 21, 2013

Cecil Allen Robinson, 78, of Harvest/Madison, passed away April 21, 2013.

Cecil was a member of the Warblers Club and played football at Woodlawn High School and Copiah-Lincoln Jr. College. He was later a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity at Auburn University.

Cecil enlisted in the Marines and served from 1954 to late 1955 and was in the reserves until 1962 earning the National Defense Service Medal.

He enjoyed NASCAR, motor boats, and especially Auburn Football. Cecil was the Southeastern Regional Sales Manager with Ingersoll-Rand and Dresser Industries.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Ann Tidwell Robinson; parents, Luther and Eudoxie Robinson; brother, James Robinson; and sister, Mildred Robinson.

He is survived by his son, Hal Robinson; sister, Jewell Burson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27, at 2 p.m. in the Jefferson Memorial Trussville Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.

Visitation was one hour prior to services.
