Donald Edward Bates; May 2, 2013

SFC Donald E Bates US Army Ret, 72, of Madison died Thursday, May 2, 2013 peacefully at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36

He is survived by his sons Donald Jr., Brian, Nicholas, Stanley and James; daughters, Cyndi and Daphne; as well as grandsons, granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Copeland Presbyterian Church as well as multiple Veterans organizations.

Visitation was at Madison Chapel Funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 with services following at 2 p.m. He was then interned at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Full Military Honors
