Christine Newton Bankston; June 17, 2013

Christine Bankston, 80, a native of Huntsville died June 17th. She was a member of Mayfair Church of Christ.

Mrs. Bankston was preceded in death by her husband W. M. Bankston; parents, William and Myrtle Newton; sister, Alice Brown; and brothers, Edward and Jerry Wayne Newton.

She is survived by her sister, Leona Swinea; her daughters, Kaye and Gordon Miller and Karen Wilburn; her grandchildren, Amanda and Tony Harris, Will Miller, Dr. Clayton Wilburn, and Rebecca DaVanon; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emma Harris.

Visitation was noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 at Valhalla Funeral Home. A chapel service followed at 2 p.m. officiated by Gary Bradley.
