Madison Beautification and Tree Board started the Yards of Madison program to recognize any exceptional yard within the city limits that enhances the overall appearance and beauty of a neighborhood or other areas in Madison.

For September, Yards of Madison honors go to Jarrell and Susan Anderson, Jeffrey and Synthia Bergstresser, Foster Bitten, Davis and Donna Blackwelder, Nancy Coy, Tim and Patti Dahlin, David and Susan Elder, Steven and Melinda Knierim, William Moody, Robert and Angela Ohlin, Pat and Dottie Patterson, Ernest and Josephine Taylor, Sue Toole, Hermann Tsai and Susana Vizcarra.

Madison residents and homeowner associations can nominate a property. The beautification board then presents certificates signed by Mayor Troy Trulock and the board president to the gardeners for their hard work. No judging is involved. The board accepts nominations from May through October.

For nomination forms, email to madisonbeautificationboard@yahoo.com or visit madisonalbeautification.org or Facebook/Madison Beautification Board.
