Neil Robert Jauken, age 73 of Madison, AL, died Thursday in Huntsville. He was born in Oxford, NE and was the youngest child born to William and Minnie (Winters) Jauken. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Air Force and had a distinguished 20-year military career. Following his military service, he went on to work 30 years in the computer industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Agnes Elaine Jauken; 6 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his second wife, Helen L. Hunter, of Madison; 2 sons, Scott Jauken of Madison, and Jeff Jauken, wife Allison Dillon-Jauken, and first grandson, Grant Dyle Robert Jauken, of Madison; 2 brothers, Alvin Jauken formerly of Loomis, NE and Lee Jauken and wife Jeanie of Overton, NE; 2 sisters, Eldora Vanden Berg of Ireton, IA and Donna Anderson and husband Darol of Georgetown, DE; 5 step-children and their families, and numerous other grieving relatives and friends.
Arrangements are being held by Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 14th at 1:00 p.m.at the Spry Chapel with Chaplain (LTC) Paige Heard of Bicentennial Chapel on Redstone Arsenal officiating. Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
