September 30, 1917 – November 22, 2013

Our mother, Mrs. Pauline Fanning, passed from this life peacefully and with family gathered around. She was 96 years old and a native of Madison Co. AL.

Mrs. Fanning devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Fanning; her parents, W. H. and Lillie Renfroe; her brothers, Posey, Harry, Sr., Clint, Calvin, Billy, Sr., and Bob Renfroe; and her sisters, Jeanette Brooks and Elizabeth Sanders.

Mrs. Fanning is survived by her children, Carolyn Seymour and husband Jimmy, Thomas Fanning and wife Janice, Barbara Hartley and husband Dave, and Roy Fanning and wife Pat; her brother, James Renfroe; her sisters, Frances Adair and Joyce Schrimscher; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and many loved ones, friends, and extended family members.

Funeral services were held on Sunday November 24th in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville with Hal Howard officiating. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for standing with us during that time. A special appreciation is given to Country Cottages for their loving care during the past 2 years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
