HUNTSVILLE – To celebrate the Fourth of July, Sci-Quest Hands-on Science Center has planned a day of “Red, White and Fun.”

From 1 to 5 p.m. on July 4, “the stars and stripes will be in full effect as we celebrate our country’s birthday at Sci-Quest,” Sci-Quest Development and Marketing Director Jennifer Deermer said.

“Before rockets glare and fireworks are in the air, declare your right to have some science fun with red, white and blue experiments and activities,” she said. Visitors can learn why fireworks are different colors and make an explosive arc.

Deermer invites residents to “see an eruption of patriotic foam in red, white and blue.”

Red, White and Fun activities are included with general admission. Active and retired military personnel and their families will receive free admission all day.

Sci-Quest’s address is 1435 Paramount Drive in Huntsville. For more information, call 256-837-0606 or visit sci-quest.org.
