MADISON – The Fellowship of Faith Church has found a new home in Madison at 132 Maple St. in the downtown historic district.

Senior Pastor Troy Garner said starting a church in Madison was part of Fellowship of Faith’s mission and vision to make “an impact in Madison County for Jesus Christ. Becoming a multi-site church encompasses that vision.”

The church’s main campus is located at 3703 N. Memorial Parkway in Huntsville.

“The new sanctuary is the former Cornerstone Word of Life facility, better known as the ‘A-frame building,'” Garner said. The facility includes a 300-seat sanctuary, five classrooms and a fellowship hall that can comfortably sit approximately 125 people.

In addition, “there’s a phenomenal Youth Center Building with staging and a lounge. The church sits on approximately four acres (with) adequate parking and well-lighted parking lot,” Garner said.

“This facility will meet the needs of families in the Madison area for many years,” he said. “This location will allow to really make an impact in Madison.”

The church is affiliated with Southern Baptist Convention nationally and Madison Baptist Association locally but is non-traditional with a non-denominational feel. The growing congregation has 1,000-plus individuals.

Community-oriented, Fellowship of Faith has numerous ministries, including youth and children, men and women, college and young adults, economic empowerment, music, photography, media, sports and recreation, homeless and jail.

The Huntsville campus has a child development center, after-school care, summer youth faith program and a home school, Fellowship of Faith Covenant Academy.

In Madison, Sunday worship time is at 8 a.m. and in Huntsville at 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. In coming weeks, Madison will add Bible study on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The church staff includes Lady Kim Garner, administrative assistant Irene Smith and ministers of music Johnny Sledge and Cameron Surles. The church’s television ministry airs on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
