MADISON – Madison police have arrested three men for residential burglaries.

On Jan. 13 around noon, detectives with Madison Police Department noticed three males driving through a residential area near Old Madison Pike and Shelton Road where recent home burglaries had occurred.

The detectives further observed suspicious activity and stopped the vehicle. While the vehicle was stopped, a citizen reported a burglary from a nearby street. Further investigation led to the arrest of the males for recent burglaries in the area.

Arrests were made on Timothy Matthews, 32, of Huntsville; Terrance Taylor, 27, of Huntsville; and Jaarmal Lane, 26, of Harvest.

These men were charged with two counts of burglary, third degree; one count of burglary, second degree; one count of theft of property, second degree; one count of theft of property, first degree; and one count, attempted burglary, third degree.

All three were taken to Madison County Jail with a $73,500 bond.

In addition, Madison police officers responded on Jan. 8-14 to calls for a vicious dog, transmitting obscene material, burglary, theft, animal cruelty, family harassment, domestic violence by strangulation, missing adult, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, identity theft, obstructing justice, child abuse, possession of a forged instrument and harassing communications.
