Thrills, chills of Rocket City Fair set for Sept. 24-27

MADISON – The thrills and chills, games of chance and irresistible snacks of the Rocket City Fair will return to Huntsville for its first-ever, fall-themed edition during one long weekend.

Running Sept. 24-27, the fair will be staged at John Hunt Park at 2195 Jaycee Way in Huntsville. The fair will mix classic carnival fun with seasonal fall activities, transforming the event into a spectacular celebration of fall tradition, memories and community.

Rocket City Fair is a must-do for families and lovers of fair food. More rides and games than ever will be on the midway with the fair’s new partner, North American Midway Entertainment.

Rides for all ages will be available with 30-plus carnival rides, along with midway games and culinary attractions from North American Midway Entertainment. Rocket City Fair guarantees a variety of ways to spin, soar, taste and play your way through the fairgrounds.

In the Harvest Village, cozy autumn vibes will meet family fun. Seasonal food and drinks are always popular. Pumpkin painting will be available while supplies last. A children’s straw-bale maze and other attractions will be free with admission. In addition, a crowd favorite is the Petting Zoo, also free, with all sorts of barnyard favorites to meet.

Be sure to visit the pony rides and watch for the stilt walker and the bubble buggy!

What better way to cap off a night at the fair than with a spectacular fireworks show? Join spectators on Friday and Saturday evenings as the sky lights up with a dazzling display.

The fair will open on Sept. 24 from 4 to 10 p.m.; Sept. 25 from 4 to 11 p.m.; Sept. 26 from noon to 11 p.m.; and Sept. 27 from noon to 10 p.m.

General admission is $9.70 per person. Children who are three years old and younger will be admitted free. Ride wristbands will be sold. Discounts will be available onsite at the front gate for military personnel and senior citizens.

To buy tickets, visit Eventbrite or rocketcityfair.com.

Fair organizers suggest that visitors plan for both day and evening hours to enjoy rides, games and fireworks. Bring cash for food vendors and ride wristbands.
