American Legion members are requesting help to pick up flags at Madison cemeteries. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – Members of American Legion, Post 229 in Madison are looking for volunteers to retrieve American flags from Madison cemeteries.

The flags were placed on veterans’ graves for the Memorial Day holiday. Legionnaires ask volunteers to meet on June 4 at 9 a.m. at Madison Memory Garden on Hughes Road, just north of Madison City Hall.

Veterans and volunteers will retrieve flags from Madison Memory Garden, Faith Memorial Park on Madison Boulevard and Madison Cemetery on Mill Road, just west of City Hall.
