BOB JONES NAMES RUNNION NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Madison- Tom Runnion has been named Athletic Director at Bob Jones by principal Sylvia Lambert.

“We are thrilled to have Mr. Runnion join our administration team here at Bob Jones,” said Lambert.

Runnion, 41, has been at Bob Jones for five years in various capacities including assistant basketball coach and teacher. He was named Teacher of the Year at the school for the 2015-2016 school year where he has taught both biology and marine biology.

His stops in education prior to coming to Bob Jones included those at Albertville, Huntsville and Sparkman High Schools. At Huntsville High, he was the head coach of the boy’s basketball program for 10 years where his squads won two Area Championships. He graduated from Grissom High in 1994 and from Birmingham-Southern College in 1999.

Runnion is part of the Madison City Aspiring Administration Program (MAAP) and will take over the position of Athletic Director immediately.
