Holtzclaw donates to Madison Public Library

MADISON – State Sen. Bill Holtzclaw presented a check for $5,000 to Madison Public Library’s capital campaign on Dec. 6.

Holtzclaw toured the library’s new facility on Plaza Boulevard with Susan Markum, Director of Institutional Advancement for Huntsville Madison County Public Library; Madison Branch Manager Sarah Sledge; and Ronica Ondocsin, longtime library advocate.

Seeing the impressive new structure was inspiring to everyone at the presentation. Ondocsin described the new building as “a beautiful, modern, high-tech facility that our community should be so proud of.”

“It took a lot of hard work to (build the library) by a lot of people, but, in the end, the work was so worth it,” Ondocsin said.
