The Beasley Brothers to rock Madison Public Library this evening for Summer Concert Series
Madison natives Jackson and Lawson Beasley will rock the Madison Public Library tonight. The Beasley Brothers, now based in Nashville, will return to their hometown for the Madison Arts Council Summer Concert Series. The free concert kicks off at 6 p.m. on the back porch of the library, 142 Plaza Blvd.
The Beasley Brothers are a Americana/Rock music group. From being selected as one of the top North Alabama bands in 2015, to opening for Kansas, The Beasley Brothers have made their name known throughout the southeast.
From the ages of 3 and 4, Jackson and Lawson spent most of their time with toy guitars singing along to anything ranging from The Beatles and Eagles, to the CMT top 20. Now Lawson and Jackson perform as The Beasley Brothers along with their band.
In 2015, they were listed among the “15 North Alabama Musicians To Watch”, and they also were the 1st place winners of the WhistleStop “Que The Music” contest, where they opened for the iconic rock band, Kansas. The Beasley Brothers perform at a variety of different events ranging from weddings and parties, to large music festivals throughout southeast.
The Beasley Brothers have released 2 EPs to date, entitled “The First One” and “Here We Go Again”.
The concert series, which is hosted by the Madison Arts Council and the Madison Public Library, has previously been held at the gazebo in downtown Madison. Organizers say the new location was necessary due to city parking ordinances that prevent people from parking on the grass near the gazebo.
The concerts will be held this summer on the back porch of the library until a permanent location is ready for next summer.
The concert series is held most Thursdays through June and July from 6-7:30 p.m.
