Iron Mountain grants $31K to nonprofits

MADISON COUNTY – The employees of Iron Mountain Solutions recently awarded $31,000 in grants to 13 local non-profit organizations.

Iron Mountain Solutions is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business or SDVOSB with headquarters in Huntsville. The company specializes in software/hardware engineering, cyber security, airworthiness expertise, programmatic solutions, test/evaluation, logistics support and safety services.

In March 2018, Iron Mountain Solutions collaborated with the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville to establish an employee-giving fund, called the Iron Mountain Solutions Employee Peaks Fund. The fund has awarded $62,000 in just more than a year’s time, with an impact to 23 local charitable organizations.

In June, 13 charitable organizations received grants from the Employee Peaks Fund established at Iron Mountain:

* Grants for $3,000 — Cap & Gown Project, Christmas Charities Year-Round, Kids to Love, New Leash on Life, Not One More Alabama and Riley Center.

* Grants for $2,500 — First Priority of Greater Decatur, Girls Inc., Greater Huntsville Humane Society and United Cerebral Palsy.

* Grants for $1,500 — North Alabama Kidney Foundation.

* Grants for $1,000 — Huntsville Community Drumline and North Alabama Spay & Neuter.

Leadership teams with Iron Mountain encourage a culture and vision for constant growth, according to Tiffany Golden Morris. She is Corporate Communications Manager.

Huntsville-Madison County Chamber has selected Iron Mountain Solutions for “Best Places to Work” awards for four consecutive years. Iron Mountain has ranked on the “Inc. 5000” list for six consecutive years as one of the fastest growing private companies in the country.

“We are also proud to announce that our employee participation rate for our employee giving fund is 83 percent,” Iron Mountain President/CEO Hank Isenberg said. “Iron Mountain Solutions as company has always believed in supporting our community and to see our employees want to give back in such a tremendous way is truly humbling.”

The Iron Mountain Solutions Employee Peaks Fund will accept grant applications again in early fall. For more information, visit ironmountainsolutions.com/community.
