It’s game day! Jets and Mustangs travel while Patriots and Senators host home games

It’s game day! The weather is perfect and it will be a great time to watch some high school football tonight. Depending on which team you are pulling for though, you might have a road trip ahead of you.

James Clemens will travel to Pinson, AL to take on the Clay-Chalkville Cougars. The Cougars started their season last week with a 34-14 win over Dothan last week. The Jets are rebounding from their loss 23-13 loss against a tough Grayson, GA team.

The Madison Academy Mustangs will travel to Moulton tonight to take on Lawrence County. The Mustangs suffered a 44-7 loss last week to Briarcrest Christian, TN in their season opener. Lawrence County won, 3-24, over Hatton.

Two teams staying home this week will be the Bob Jones Patriots and Sparkman Senators.

Bob Jones will welcome the Muscle Shoals Trojans at the Madison City Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and gates open at 5:30 p.m.

The Patriots traveled to TN last week to take on Christian Brothers for a 34-26 loss, while Muscle Shoals stomped all over Deshler, 42-3.

Sparkman has a big match-up tonight. They will host county-rival Hazel Green. This will be the Senators’ first regular season game. They defeated Athens last week in a preseason jamboree. Hazel Green suffered a tough loss last week to Grissom, 47-27.

Of course, the big game comes next week. Bob Jones will play host to cross-city rival James Clemens at Madison City Stadium.
