MADISON- Let the party begin!
That’s the feeling among the front office staff of the Rocket City Trash Pandas as the new baseball team has announced the dates of when individual ticket sales will begin and what the season-long promotional schedule will look like for the inaugural season of the Double AA Trash Pandas.
“Like all Trash Pandas events leading to the April 15 Opening Day, this will be a party all weekend long,” said Ralph Nelson, managing partner and CEO of the team. “We can now answer the No. 1 burning question the Trash Pandas fans have asked for more than a year.”
Individual games tickets, including Opening Night, will go on sale to the general public Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 at the Toyota Field box office only. Online sales of single game tickets will be offered beginning March 16.
To coincide with the Grand Opening Weekend for the ticket office, the new “Junkyard Team Store” will also have its opening weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on March 14 with the March 15 times of noon to 6:00 p.m. The opening of The Junkyard will offer numerous Inaugural Season merchandise items for the first time.
Nelson added, “We appreciate the patience, enthusiasm and support our fan base has shown throughout this journey and we are excited that this day is finally upon us.”
Aside from the chance to purchase tickets, the special weekend will feature live music, family entertainment and allow fans to experience Toyota Field and actually sit in the seats they purchase for the first time.

Promotions and giveaways are the first step to an unforgettable night at the ballpark.”
The promotion lineup will feature fireworks, theme nights, bobblehead giveaways and “Mutt Mondays.” The special promotion for fans and their K-9 will be every Monday home game with the first 500 dogs receiving a special gift as fans are urged to bring their pet in designated “dog zones” as dogs will not be permitted in the general seating bowl.
Numerous promotions will feature big fireworks nights including Opening Night, each Thursday and Saturday home game, as well as, an extravagant July 3rd Independence Day celebration.
A complete list of the promotions is available on the Trash Pandas website (trashpandasbaseball.com).
“We are grateful to our sponsors, without whom many of these great promotional nights for our fans would be possible,” added Knupp.
One special promotion will mean a lot to many baseball fans who remember the Huntsville Stars. The Trash Pandas will host “Stars Throwback Night” on May 22. The team will wear special Huntsville Stars uniforms when the Biloxi Shuckers, formerly the Huntsville Stars, pay a visit to Toyota Field.
“It’s been a great road getting here, a little over two months from Opening Day,” said Nelson. “I’ll see you at Toyota Field.”
