Area tournament scores and updated schedule

Here’s the complete list of scores from Wednesday’s games along with the schedule for the rest of the week. Because of COVID precautions, each game is being played on the home court of the highest seeded team. Teams advancing out of the area tournaments must win two sub-regional round games to advance to the regional championship. Sub-regional play begins Monday for girls and Tuesday for boys.

Class 7A, Area 8 boys: James Clemens 71, Austin 68

Class 7A, Area 8 boys: Bob Jones 59, Florence 61

Class 7A, Area 7 boys: Sparkman 61, Albertville 60

Class 6A, Area 14 boys: Hartselle 70, Decatur 49

Class 6A, Area 16 boys: Madison Academy 51, Athens 40

Class 5A, Area 16 boys: Lee 78, Ardmore 19

Class 5A, Area 16 boys: Mae Jemison 63, East Limestone 43

Class 4A, Area 13 boys: Westminster Christian 71, Priceville 43

Class 1A, Area 16 boys: R.A. Hubbard 43, Shoals Christian 24

Friday’s games

Class 7A, Area 8 girls: Finals, James Clemens at Austin, 6 p.m.

Class 7A, Area 7 girls: Finals, Huntsville at Sparkman, 6 p.m.

Class 6A, Area 16 girls: Hazel Green at Madison Academy, 6 p.m.

Class 4A, Area 13 girls: Finals, Saint John Paul II at Priceville, 6 p.m.

Saturday’s games

Class 7A, Area 8 boys: Finals, Florence at James Clemens, 7 p.m.

Class 7A, Area 7 boys: Finals, Sparkman at Huntsville, 7 p.m.

Class 6A, Area 16 boys: Madison Academy at Hazel Green, 6 p.m.
