Monday afternoon shooting leaves one dead in Madison

MADISON – A shooting in Madison has left one person dead this afternoon and another behind bars.

According to Madison Police, there was a shooting at the Sunco gas station on Sullivan Street Monday afternoon.

Police said one person was shot and taken to the hospital, where they died from their injuries. The suspected shooter was taken into custody.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim or the shooter.
