JPII Catholic High School plans Silver Celebration Dinner

MADISON – Honoring 25 years on Christ-centered, college preparatory education, St. John Paul II Catholic High School will present its Silver Celebration Dinner on February 19.

The Silver Celebration Dinner will open at 5 p.m. and close at 8:30 p.m. and will include a silent auction. The JPII gymnasium at 7301 Old Madison Pike NW in Huntsville will serve as event venue.

Organizers urge residents to “share an extraordinary evening with school finders, alumni, friends and special guests as together we cherish the past, celebrate the present and look to a bright future for the school.”

The anniversary fundraiser will feature celebrity chef and priest Father Leo Patalinghug, the “Cooking Priest.” Patalinghug is the founder of the “Grace Before Meals” movement.

Father Leo is the author of the best-selling books “Grace Before Meals,” “Spicing Up Married Life” and “Epic Food Fight.” His latest book is “Saving the Family: The Transformative Power of Sharing Meals with People You Love.”

Father Leo is a dynamic, sought-out speaker for new evangelization. An acclaimed international presenter on various topics, he is best known for connecting the power of food to strengthen family life and build community. His cross-generational presentations focus on high-level theology, which is practical and understandable in an entertaining way.

In addition, he has appeared on the Food Network and defeated celebrity chef Bobby Flay on an episode of “Throwdown.” (catholicspeakers.com/profiles/fr-leo-patalinghug)

Dr. Jeremiah H. Russell is Headmaster at JPII. Honorary co-chairs for the event are Frank and Carol Chapman.

JPII promotes the belief that everyone, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or religious affiliation, is uniquely gifted by God. The school’s tenets are “Learn Enthusiastically. Lead Honorably. Live Responsibly.”
