Huntsville Botanical Garden unveils first Wedding Expo

HUNTSVILLE Whether you are starting your wedding planning journey, or you are tying up loose ends before the big day, Huntsville Botanical Garden (HBG) wants you to say “I do!” to attending the first Wedding Expo hosted at the Garden on Sunday, June 4, from noon-4 p.m.

Attendees will be able to discover everything essential for planning a wedding, all in one place, up close and in person.

“We want to make wedding planning as easy as possible by offering a variety of vendors all in place at one time,” said HBG Sales and Event Venue Manager Devante Williams. “The Expo will give guests an opportunity to chat with the area’s most talented wedding professionals as they taste delicious cakes, see beautiful flowers, find amazing decor, and discover solutions for all their planning needs.”

Guests are encouraged to try samples, ask questions directly to vendors and leave with a bag full of wedding planning swag. Vendor categories include:

  • Professional Hair Stylists
  • Makeup Artists
  • Photographers/Videographers
  • Florists
  • Cake Decorators
  • DJs
  • Rental Companies
  • Wedding Planners
  • Event Coordinators
  • Travel Agents
  • Decorators
  • Caterers

Williams explained that this kind of event can help take the burden off of the bride and groom for searching out reputable wedding professionals. It can also provide a fun bonding experience for those involved in planning a wedding.

“Planning a wedding can be stressful,” said Williams. “The Expo is a perfect way to vet potential vendors for your big day, and it can be a lot of fun crossing things off your ‘to-do’ list with your one special someone or your entire entourage.”

Advance tickets are $25 and can be purchased at bit.ly/hbgweddingexpo. The price increases to $35 for those who wait to purchase at the door. Ticket purchase includes admission to the Garden and a free Expo tote bag. A complimentary coffee bar as well as a cash bar for alcoholic beverages will be available.

For more information, visit bit.ly/expomoreinfo. Vendors are added to the website as they are confirmed, so check regularly for updates.
