Nominations open for inductees to Bob Jones Hall of Fame

MADISON – Individuals can now nominate deserving additions for 2025 to the Hall of Fame at Bob Jones High School.

Each year’s inductees to Hall of Fame serve as an annual salute during homecoming week to recognize outstanding alumni. The homecoming game in 2025 will be Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. when the Bob Jones Patriots meet the Albertville Aggies.

The nominees must have maintained a high standard of excellence and secured a respectable impact in their fields of endeavor. Hall of Fame members serve as role models for current and future Bob Jones students.

In addition, nominees can include people who did not attend Bob Jones but have contributed significantly in the form of leadership, service and other factors to the school, according to Bob Jones Assistant Principal Dr. DeAnna Hanks.

Deadline to complete an online nomination application for Hall of fame is Sept. 12.

Alumni candidates must meet these qualifications: • Must have graduated from Bob Jones at least 10 years ago.

• Must have made significant accomplishments and contributions while a student at Bob Jones in high-ranking scholarship, service to the school, leadership roles and/or athletics experience.

A service candidate has two qualifications to satisfy: • Completed a significant contribution to the school.

• Cannot be an employee at Bob Jones or affiliated with the school.

Anyone who has worked at Bob Jones is eligible for nomination with these caveats:

• The candidate must have worked for Bob Jones for 10 years minimum.

• The candidate must have retired from Bob Jones, must be deceased or has not worked at the school for 10 years minimum.

All candidates must meet one or more of the following selection criteria: • Must have completed significant accomplishments and contributions while at post-secondary educational institutions, including degrees attained and fields of study.

• Must have significant accomplishments and contributions in civic and community involvement.
