“My vision is to create an innovative and resilient educational system in Alabama that prepares all our students for the challenges of the future,” Spears said. “I aim to work with my fellow board members and our state superintendent of education to cultivate an environment where every student has the resources and support needed to thrive. Through collaboration with educators, parents, community members and our legislature, we can drive meaningful change in our schools.”

While on the Board of Education, she served two terms on the Alabama Association of School Boards Board of Directors and Chaired their Advocacy Committee.

“My campaign for the Alabama State Board of Education District 8 will be built on the principles of respect, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in education,” Spears added. “Together we can create a brighter future for all our students by advocating for policies that support educators, protect our libraries, and ensure that every child has access to high-quality education.”
