Fulfill a Christmas wish for a Kids to Love child with tag at Posh Mommy & Baby Too!

MADISON – A child at Kids to Love can have a Christmas wish answered by an ‘ornament’ on the tree at Posh Mommy and Baby Too!

Several years ago, Kids To Love asked Lisa Vannoy, owner of Posh Mommy & Baby Too!, if she would help to collect Christmas gifts for foster children at Christmas. “Of course, I’m more than happy to help however I can. Kids to Love is an amazing organization. Lee Marshall, Founder and CEO, was a foster child herself,” Vannoy said.

“I always look forward to helping the children,” Vannoy said.

The process is similar to Angel Tree. Kids to Love provides ‘ornament’ tags with a child’s first name, age and gift wish. “We hang these ornaments on our Christmas tree and promote it by telling our customers about the program,” Vannoy said. “Customers can either take the ornament and bring it back with gifts, or they can purchase from Posh Mommy & Baby Too!”

“This year, we matched some gifts with ornaments for customers that are limited on shopping time . . . kind of like a grab-andgo. We felt this might be appealing since life is so busy these days,” Vannoy said.

Each ornament has space on the back for the purchaser’s name and contact information so Kids to Love can provide a receipt. “We do have people that just want us to put ‘Anonymous’ on the tag. They just want to help provide a gift for a child,” Vannoy said.

Ages vary for Kids to Love children who receive gifts. “Kids to Love has provided us with babies as young as three months to age five, but we have had them as old as 17 years old,” Vannoy said.

Kids to Love supports children in foster care, no matter the organization. They assist foster children throughout our state, she said.

The spending limit is up to the person buying the gift. “There’s no pressure to purchase a specific amount,” Vannoy said. “It’s what the person chooses, and anything is greatly appreciated. It shows the kindness of those a bit more fortunate.”

Most requests for Kids to Love gifts are practical, like clothes, socks and shoes. “This year, we have a baby needing bottles, and there’s even a set of young twins,” Vannoy said.

Vannoy thinks most gift wishes are touching. “To think children need bottles, shoes and coats is heartbreaking,” she said.

Kids to Love has a pick-up date (deadline) for gifts on Dec. 4. Kids to Love staff pick up the gifts and deliver them to the children and foster families. Children are anonymous to gift locations, like Posh Mommy and Baby Too!

In business for 20 years at 7755 U.S. 72 W. in Madison, Posh Mommy and Baby Too! offers a wide selection of clothing for boys (preemie to size 6) and girls (preemie to size 8), along with socks, shoes and hairbows.

Their toy department features books, puzzles, baby dolls and learning toys. Baby furniture includes cribs, dressers, nightstands and rocker recliners for that perfect nursery. Custom bedding completes the finishing touch.

Posh Mommy and Baby Too! also sells infant/convertible car seats, strollers, bouncers, playpens, highchairs and more. Bibs, burps and blankets, too. The gift selection is impressive . . . with the ever-popular Jelly Cat stuffies (new Beanie Baby trend).
