UAH women’s basketball wins 16th straight, Wilken reaches 1,000 points
HUNTSVILLE – Women’s basketball extended their program-record winning streak to 16 games with a 64–48 victory over Valdosta State on Thursday night at SportsMED Arena inside Spragins Hall.
The Chargers set the tone early, opening the game on an 11-0 run. Lili Wilken accounted for five of those points and continued to lead the offense throughout the night. She finished the first half with 10 points before reaching a major career milestone in the third quarter, scoring on a layup to become the 11th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points. The last UAH player to accomplish the feat was Holly Harris (2018–22).
Wilken had a team-high 21 points, leading all scorers. She is the first Charger to reach the 1,000-point mark in just two seasons.
The Chargers controlled the game from start to finish, holding Valdosta State to 48 points while continuing their dominant stretch of play in conference competition.
UAH remains undefeated in Gulf South Conference play at 12-0 and perfect at home this season with a 9-0 record.
