Grab a basket! City, churches to host Easter egg hunts in Madison
MADISON – Before Easter arrives on April 5, several Easter egg hunts will give an entertaining, meaningful outing at parks and churches across Madison.
Families can celebrate the Spring season at Dublin Park, 8324 Old Madison Pike with the annual “City of Madison Easter Eggstravaganza.” Madison Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the event.
On March 28, the first egg hunt will be open to one- through five-yearolds from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Then, children who are six to 10 years old can hunt for eggs at 10:30 a.m.
“Bring your basket and join us for a morning full of springtime fun! Two egg hunts, inflatables, prize baskets, plus a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny – and he’s willing to have his photo taken with the kids.” (Facebook/ Madison, Alabama Parks and Recreation) For the Easter Eggstravaganza, Dublin Park will only allow handicap parking. In addition, on March 28, Madison Community Center, 1329 Brown’s Ferry Road will host the “Special Needs Easter Eggstravaganza.” The event will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The egg hunt will start at 3 p.m.
Activities will include the adaptive, sensory- friendly egg hunt experience, along with sensory- friendly games and amusements, plus a visit from the Easter Bunny. The Special Needs program with Madison Parks and Recreation is coordinating this event. For more information, call 256-774-8336 To celebrate Easter at Clift Farm, an Easter Egg Hunt on the Village Green on April 4 will start at 11 a.m. The hunt is free and will include photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, lawn games and other attractions. The Village Green is located adjacent to Chuck’s Fish.
Madison Methodist Church at 127 Church St. in downtown Madison wants youngsters to hop on over for an Easter egg hunt on March 28 at 11 a.m. This fun-filled morning will include photos with the Easter Bunny, tasty refreshments…even a giveaway for a bicycle. Don’t forget your basket!
Westview Church Of Christ at 813 Capshaw Road will host its Community Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 from noon to 2 p.m. Coordinators said to get ready to hunt for colorful eggs, claim great prizes and have a blast with friends and family. Guests can enjoy tasty treats and snacks, games, face painting and entertainment for all ages.
