Madison employees recognized for service

Madison County Record
City of Madison employees were recognized at an employee luncheon for their respective years of service to the city.
Mayor Jan Wells, along with members of the Madison City Council, presented five, 10, 15, 20 and 25-year service awards.
Recognized for five years of service were: Kurt Allison, recreation; Lou Watts, fire; Randy Goode, community development; John Stringer, police; Cheri Martin, police; Kent Hobbs, recreation; Gay Engelhaupt, recreation; James Cooke, police; Traci Sherman, police; Kelly Johnson, recreation; Sharon Monk, police; Mark Wilson, recreation; Margaret Price, revenue; Jerry Wilson, public works; Carmen Southard, recreation; Steve Wilkerson, police; Dave Mariano, police.
Recognized for 10 years of service were: Kim Lindsey, mayor's office; Jeff Ramsey, fire; Lee Weaver, police; Linda Austin, police; Kay Curry, public works; Monique Johnson, public works; Mary Emerson, fire; Cary Sadler, fire; Mike Melvin, public works; Marty Pitts, fire; Leroy Jackson, recreation; Michael Allen, police.
Recognized for 15 years of service were: Stephen Steigerwalt, fire; Timothy Fyle, police; Roger Clark, public works; Stacy Haraway, fire; Loyd Brasher, fire; Kenneth Palmer, police; Doug Young, fire; Jeff Birdwell, fire; Doug Hill, fire; Irish Hammonds, court; Charles Fuller, public works; Marvin Baker, mayor's office.
Frank Macon was recognized for 20 years of service in the Madison Fire Department.
Elise Kirkland of the Recreation Department and Greg Riddle of the Madison Fire Department, were recognized for 25 years of service to the city of Madison.
Each employee recognized received a hammer to go along with the theme of the luncheon, "Each Job Builds a City."
