Street hockey season begins
The community is invited to attend the grand opening day ceremony of the Madison Street Hockey season at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at Discovery Middle School tennis courts on Hughes Road. The city of Madison has made it possible to relocate the hocky rink for more residents to enjoy.
Madison Titans begin winter season
The Madison Titans Swim Team has begun its 2002-2003 winter season.
Many of the same members of the Madison Dolphins Swim Team will be swimming on the Titans. Workouts will be held Monday through Saturday at Dublin Park Pool – depending on the child's abilities.
Mike Gunner is the head coach.
Tryouts for new swimmers will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1. Swimmers must demonstrate the ability to swim 25 yards of the pool with their face in the water using a reasonable version of the freestyle/crawl maneuver.
Parents whose children make the team will need to be prepared to write a check for the first month's fees and for the U.S.A. swimming fee.
For more information, call Missy Martin at 772-1518.
