Cathy Walker; Oct. 14, 2010

Cathy Gayle Horton Walker of Madison passed away Thursday, Oct. 14 at her residence. She was 60.

Cathy was a native of Winsbrough, Texas, and a resident of Madison County since 1994. She was the past chairman of the Madison Beatification Board. She had been the primary organizer of the Arbor Day Celebration that planted the trees in Dublin Park and Palmer Park, was the current president of the Yarbrough National Genealogical Association, and was very active in the Ashley Estates Community Association of Madison.

Survivors include her husband of over 40 years, Clay F. Walker; and one brother, Jimmy Glenn Horton of Pearland, Texas.

Visitation was from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 17 at Berryhill Funeral Home. A memorial service followed at 5 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Diabetes Association.
