Mr. Fancis Edward “Frank” Ecklund; Oct. 22, 2011

Mr. Francis Edward “Frank” Ecklund of Madison passed away on Oct. 22 at Huntsville Hospital at the age of 65.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Sept. 9, 1946 to Joseph and Marie Glanz Ecklund.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 2 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church in Madison with Pastor Alan Weatherly officiating. Mr. Ecklund laid in state at the church from noon until service time. Interment was at 4 p.m. at Cullman City Cemetery with Air Force military honors.

Survivors are wife Charlotte Ecklund; two daughters, Suzanne (Christopher) Coe, Kelly (Kevin) Miller;  three brothers, Joseph (Bonnie) Ecklund, David (Davida) Ecklund, Michael Ecklund; two sisters, Elizabeth (Rudy) Clarke, Louise (William) Freedle; grandchildren Katy and Landon Coe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family  received friends at the church on the day of the service.
