Calvin P. Holt; Nov. 26, 2011

Calvin Peter Holt, 59, of Madison passed away Saturday, Nov. 26 at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham.

Mr. Holt was born in Merced, Calif., on January 12, 1952, to Morgan Calvin and Veronica Martin Holt.

He was retired from Rapair/CDI and a member of Spirit of Praise Church in Meridianville.

Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Arthur Holt.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Holt of Madison; a son, Jacob Holt and wife Tiffany of Huntsville; daughter, Jana Guidry and husband Tone of Huntsville; mother, Veronica Holt of Madison; sisters, Irene Bucci and husband Don of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Kathleen Ryan and husband Frank of Madison; four grandchildren, Grant Holt, Tanner Holt, Autumn Guidry and Katelyn Guidry; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Powell and Pastor Wilson Byrd officiating. Burial followed at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Visitation was Monday, Nov. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
