EMA urges citizens to call helpline

A truck flipped over on Jeff Road earlier today.

The Emergency Management Agency is asking citizens to dial 2-1-1 for information about emergency shelters, how to volunteer and any other non-emergency needs related to the storms.

2-1-1 is a toll free information and referral hotline which is available 24/7 to the public at no charge.

The American Red Cross disaster action teams are on the ground assessing the damage and using Emergency Response Vehicles to distribute snacks and water to families whose homes were affected by the severe weather.
