Bob Jones AFJROTC takes top honors in drill meet

MADISON – Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) students from Bob Jones High School captured second place overall at the J.O. Johnson Drill Meet on March 9.

“Our drill team and honor guard did extremely well,” Bob Jones Principal Robby Parker said. Ellis Clark and Randy Herd are AFJROTC instructors.

The honor guard captured first place with cadets Josh Monis, Sean Motz, Chantel Watson and Christian Weiss.

Bob Jones also won first place in regulation inspection and “platoon competition without arms.” The cadets took second place for “squad without arms”; third place, “platoon with arms”; and third place, “squad with arms.”

Team members are cadets James Agee, John Dyson, Dajeana Heymann, Edward Little, Josh Monis, Timothy Morris, Sean Motz, Brandon Nguyen, Tyler Renn Steven Sparks, Teralynn Stewart, Heather Toler, Tevon Walker, Chantel Watson, Christian Weiss and Akeia Williams.
