MADISON — Jets Baseball players and parents at James Clemens High School have hit a line drive with two fundraisers.

On April 2, Jets baseball will benefit from promotion night at Panera Bread, 8179 U.S. 72 W., adjacent to Target. From 4 to 8 p.m., a percentage of purchases will be returned to the baseball program.

Jets supporters must present a digital or printed flier when ordering at Panera. For fliers, send email to James Clemens Baseball promotion coordinator Chris Hendon at christopherjhendon@yahoo.com.

The more fliers, the more proceeds to Jets Baseball, Hendon said.

In another promotion, Grounded Coffee at 12120 County Line Road, Suite C is working with the Jets. The baseball team is accepting advance orders for whole-bean and ground coffee in one-pound or half-pound quantities.

Deadline for placing a Grounded Coffee order is April 11. Individuals can order Brazilian, Costa Rican, Guatemalan, Nicaraguan, Colombian, Sumatran or Ethiopian blends. For flavored coffee, the options are French vanilla, hazelnut, Irish cream and caramel creme.

Throughout the day on May 5, Grounded Coffee will hold a promotion day to donate a percentage of sales to James Clemens Baseball. May 5 is also the date when customers who ordered coffee can pick up orders, Hendon said.

“The proceeds from these two and all James Clemens promotions are utilized to purchase equipment for the baseball team, as well as to fund bleacher and other facility expansion projects for James Clemens and the baseball program,” Hendon said.
