West Madison math team wins at UAH

MADISON – Math team members at West Madison Elementary School brought home awards from a recent contest at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Both the fourth-grade and sixth-grade teams ranked in second place overall.

In the individual competition, Mike Zheng and Aubteen P. Biazar tied for third place among the fourth-graders. Helen Wu placed third in the competition for sixth grade.

Fourth-grade teacher Sally Warren and fifth-grade teacher Whitney Lawrence coach these math teams at West Madison.
