Secondary schools plan open houses

MADISON – To launch the 2015-2016 school, teachers and administrators at Madison’s two high schools and two middle schools soon will welcome students at Open House.

At Bob Jones High School, students will pay fees and pick up parking passes on July 27-28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. “Patriot Night” open house, schedule pickup and makeup day for fees and parking passes will be Aug. 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (bjhs.madisoncity.k12.al.us)

Sophomores and seniors at James Clemens High School will pay fees and receive parking passes on July 23. Freshmen and juniors are scheduled for July 24. On both days, students can visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Jet Night” open house, schedule handout and late payment for fees and parking passes will be conducted on Aug. 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (jchs.madisoncity.k12.al.us)

Students who attend The Academy can receive parking passes on July 27-28 at James Clemens. Open house and schedule pickup will be on Aug. 4 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in James Clemens’ D Pod. (paas.madisoncity.k12.al.us)

At Discovery Middle School, eighth-graders can pick up schedules and pay fees on July 23. Then on July 24, seventh-graders can handle these business needs. On July 23-24, students can visit from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Discovery’s new student orientation will be conducted on July 27 at 6 p.m. in the library. Discovery’s Open House is scheduled for Aug. 2 from 2 until 4 p.m. (dms.madisoncity.k12.al.us)

At Liberty Middle School, students with last names K-Z can receive schedules on July 21. Then on July 22, students with last names A-J can pick up their schedules. Students can visit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 21-22.

Liberty’s student orientation will be held on July 23 for seventh-graders and on July 24 for eighth-graders at 5 p.m. Open house for Liberty is scheduled for Aug. 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (lms.madisoncity.k12.al.us)

All Madison students return to class on Aug. 5.
