Athletes of the Week

MADISON – Brothers Gabriel and Kaleb Clark both have chosen football and hockey as their primary sports.

The boys attend Columbia Elementary School. Only one year separates the brothers in school. Gabriel is a fourth-grader, and Kaleb is in fifth grade.

Gabriel plays Upward Football, Division 4, with the Bears as a linebacker. He also plays hockey in the North Alabama Hockey Association (NAHA) at Huntsville Ice Complex.

Like his brother, Kaleb plays Upward Football, Division 4, with the Bears, but his position is wide receiver. Kaleb plans to get involved with track and midget racing.

Gabriel’s favorite sport is hockey because “it describes me …. I’m tough, fast and a good sport.” Kaleb’s is more partial to football “because it’s fun and a family tradition.”

Their sister Isabella is a Columbia first-grader. Their brother Eli is in pre-school. “Our parents are Nathan and Kristine Clark. Our dad works at Simplex Grinnell as an electronic systems sales rep, and our mom is a licensed cosmetologist,” Gabriel said.

“We moved to Madison in March 2015 for our dad’s job,” Gabriel said.
