Signalink donates to Huntsville Hospital’s pediatric oncology

MADISON – The philanthropy of Signalink Inc. will help the young people who most deserve hope during the Christmas season.

“Signalink was very happy to present a check during the week of Dec. 11 totaling $4,000 to Chris Hendley, Director of Gifts at Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Dr. Jennifer Cox and Eugene Johnson of the Huntsville Hospital St. Jude Affiliate Clinic,” Alice Lessmann, CEO of Signalink, said.

Every year, Signalink, a small business located in Madison, chooses a non-profit organization to receive the focus of their efforts. Signalink Serves, a component within the Signalink organization, gathers information to give employees the opportunity to donate to the selected non-profit organization.

“For 2017, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Pediatric Oncology area was chosen by Signalink Serves,” Lessmann said. “We have had quite a few of our Signalink employees with friends or family affected by childhood cancer.”

Dr. Jennifer Cox reiterated how “support from the community is critical for us to help provide ‘the extras’ for kids, and we strive to serve the community in return.”

In addition, Signalink pursued charitable contributions to other recipients. In February, Signalink held a “Crafts Drive” for employees to donate new craft items for the children in Pediatric Oncology and their families, Lessmann said.

A corn-hole tournament at the 2017 Signalink Company Picnic was held, and all proceeds went to Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

Founded in 2005, Signalink specializes in technical services, information solutions and systems integration services within federal markets. The company promotes giving back to the community by supporting non-profit organizations, local city schools and other outreach programs to help communities thrive.

In March 2017, Signalink moved into its newly constructed building with 11,500 square foot at 1208 Slaughter Road in Madison. For more information, call 256-715-6744, email info@signalink.net or visit signalink.net.
