Madison Police arrest second suspect for capital murder
MADISON – Madison Police have arrested another suspect in connection with Monday’s early morning homicide in the Skyline Acres subdivision.
Austin Blake Holmes, 19, of Toney was arrested Thursday and charged with capital murder and burglary in the first degree.
Holmes was booked into the Madison County Jail and held without a bond for the capital murder. The bond set for burglary is $60,000.
MPD Captain John Stringer said officers responded to an emergency 911 call at an house on Skyline Road shortly after 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Skyline Road is near the intersection of Slaughter Road and Madison Pike.
“Officers discovered two victims inside the residence. One victim was transported to the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Department and the other was deceased,” Stringer said.
The police identified the deceased victim as Robert Luke Pratt.
Police arrested Hunter Mitchell Moore on Tuesday in connection with the investigation. He was also charged with capital murder and burglary, along with attempted murder.
