Summer Concert Series to feature island sounds of Calypso Vision tonight
This week’s music at the Madison Arts Council’s Summer Concert Series will feature the island sounds of Calypso Vision Thursday, Aug. 1. The free outdoor weekly concerts have been held on the back porch of the Madison Public Library, 142 Plaza Blvd., through June and July. This is the last one for this summer. Calypso Vision was originally set to perform for the series on July 18, but was rescheduled due to the threat of storms. The concert will be held 6-7:30 p.m. With an eclectic “gumbo mix” of Buffett-style trop and classic rock, Calypso Vision brings its beach party ready to go with all the spontaneous fun you need to turn an evening into a trip down island.
