Suspect arrested for Dollar General robbery in Harvest
MADISON COUNTY – An arrest has been made in the Sept. 9 robbery of the Dollar General on Hwy 53 in Harvest.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Deonte Eddins, 23, was charged with three counts of first degree robbery with a $60,000 bond for each charge.
The arrest was the result of combined effort by the sheriff’s office and Huntsville Police Department. They were working together trying to solve similar robberies in their jurisdictions when a HPD investigator contacted an investigator with the sheriff’s department Thursday morning about Eddins.
HPD had arrested the suspect for the robbery of a Family Dollar in Huntsville.
“After comparing video surveillance from each location, probable cause was established to charge Deonte Eddins,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office.
