City of Huntsville accepting applications for summer internships

HUNTSVILLE – Looking for a summer internship? The City of Huntsville is offering  learning opportunities for motivated college students wanting career experience.

City officials say they have positions in Administration – Business Relations, Communication, Multicultural Affairs; in Animal Services, Community Development, Emergency Management (EMA), Engineering, Finance, Geographic Information System (GIS), Information Technology Services, Legal, Legal (prosecution office) Planning, , Natural Resources, and Traffic Engineering.

Applicants must be at least 19 years old and currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, or be a student who has graduated from college no more than six months prior to placement in the Internship Program.

The City of Huntsville 2020 summer intern program runs from June 8 to July 31. The positions are unpaid, and interns work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise specified by the department.

Applications will be accepted online through March 16 via NeoGov at HuntsvilleAL.gov/jobs Accepted interns will be notified in April.
