Wednesday morning update

The number of cases of COVID-19 in Madison County remained the same overnight from what had been reported Tuesday evening, which is 150. Limestone has 32 cases.

Statewide, the number of cases have increased to 2,229.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) at 8:45 a.m., there are 65 reported deaths in the state due to the illness, with 48 of those being confirmed by the ADPH. Madison now has two confirmed deaths.

Since March 13, there have been 314 people hospitalzed because of COVID-19.

According to John Hopkins University, there are currently 399,929 cases of coronavirus in the United States. There have been 12,911 deaths, and 22,539 people have recovered from the virus.
