Caudle seeks re-election as Mayor of the Town of Triana

TRIANA – Mary Caudle is seeking re-election as Mayor of the Town of Triana.

Caudle has served as mayor for three terms. Before becoming mayor, she served on Triana Town Council for four years.

A lifelong resident of Triana, Caudle describes herself as “a mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, business woman, author and leader.” Her witness to the town’s changes have fueled Caudle’s driving force.

Caudle has worked in finance with the medical field for 39 years. She is founder of Assist Practice Management Services LLC for consulting, revenue management, accounts receivable, billing and collection assistance to health clinics, hospitals, private physician offices and Federal Qualified Health Care Centers across the United States.

She works full time as Senior Director of Services to Cash for Sequel Youth and Family Services, which serves youth with behavioral, emotional and physical challenges.

Caudle’s civic outreach includes multiple boards and organizations. She has served in top roles with North Alabama Mayor’s Association, Top of Alabama Regional Council of Government or TARCOG, Community Action Partnership Huntsville/Madison and Limestone Counties Inc., Metropolitan Planning Organization and Madison County Hazard Mitigation Planning.

She participates with Speak up Alabama and Leadership Focus Class 29.

During Caudle’s time as mayor, the town’s economic development has seen Geocue construction, opening of Dollar General and seven new subdivisions. For parks and recreation, various grants have resulted in gym upgrades, new pavilion, refurbished nature trails, gazebo and improved park equipment.

Triana Police have purchased two new patrol vehicles, along with laptops and printers for patrol cars. Leadership Group and Caudle helped raise funds to set up a temporary library after old library burned.

“The Community Safe Room Project grant awarded in 2012 and state released funds in 2015. Construction was completed in 2016,” Caudle said. A grant from FEMA brought in $275,000, while an ARC grant provided $50,000.

In street improvements, the town’s signage has been repaired or replaced, and streetlights were added to several roads and new subdivisions. Streets have been paved or repaired. For internet services, the town secured agreements with AT&T and Comcast.

Caudle has three children — LaToya, Ian and Brandon. Her grandchildren are Briana, Jalen, Jada and Brandon J. Mary’s parents are Charlie D. and Lela Mae Caudle.

Election day will be Aug. 25. For more information, visit Facebook/Mary Caudle.
