“Don’t Mess with Madison” hosting public meeting on Monday about the May 9 special election

The Don’t Mess with Madison PAC will host a public meeting Monday, May 1, at the Madison Public Library regarding Madison’s upcoming May 9th special election on a change of governance.

Madison citizens will decide in the upcoming special election on May 9 whether to change the city’s form of government from a mayor-council form to a council-city manager form. “We provide an opportunity for citizens to learn more about this transition and what it could mean for citizens,” stated a press release from Don’t Mess with Madison. “We encourage all Madison residents to attend and find out more information so they can vote with confidence in the upcoming election.”

The group has been opposed the proposed change and encourages citizens to vote no at the special election.

The meeting will begin Monday at 6 p.m.in the Madison Public Library, 130 Plaza Blvd. (behind the Hughes Road Lawler’s).
